I decided to do a Mise-En-Scene  analysis  on the show Stanger Things on Episode 1: “The Vanishing  of  Will By ers.”  This was primarily due to the  straightforward depiction of the famous 1980s era and the  use  of  costumes, sets, lighting, and blocking  in  which  these elements  intertwine to create  a phenom enal  show.  Moreover, this show was chosen because it defies a great sense of mystery  and brings a  nostalgic  element.    In the beginning ,  the show  presents the  timeline of the 1980 era  by showing the actual date and place of November 6, 1983, Hawkins, Indiana .  Upon the first scene, the lights are flickering  at low-key  which alludes  that something bad is about to happen. Taking AICE Media Studies is an interesting class as the world is affected by media every single day. It is fascinating to see how the media can be used to target a specific audience to promote a produce or influence someone to be vegan due to the benefits that come with doing so. There are also many complexities that come with filming movies, advertisements, documentaries to make the finished product an enticing allure which I hope to learn and possibly go more in depth through the course of this class. Not to mention, Media Studies has created a profitable industry and many job opportunities for those who choose to pursue it.
