Initial Storyboard

 During this storyboard planning our group had a broad amount of ideas, but in order to narrow down our choices, we decided to start with choosing a genre. Luca and Jovani initially decided to do a horror gene but then switched to a comedy genre in order to be more homogenous with their ideas. From there we decided our play in the creation of this film with me being set on a cameraman/narrator/director while Luca plays the "shy guy" and Jovani the "popular kid" in the film. Our backbone structure of this storyboard and film is the idea that this project is going to be a "coming of age" film and the idea of having a "shy guy" and "popular kid" complement each other since these two characters are the opposing forces who are going to make an alliance in order to symbolize that idea. However, we would need to introduce a third-party opposing force which is the "detention teacher" in order to provoke this alliance and get the ball ...

Movie Opener Brainstorming & Research

For this weeks blog we are going to observe the following 9 different movie opener clips from past AICE Media students in Florida. Annotations will be made and I will be brainstorming ideas from these clips that could contribute to my film opener. 1. Rise      Some observations:     - I enjoy the use of close up shots when using equipment such as the tying the shoes, shooting the ball into the net, and especially at the last scene where there are two parties facing each other the the close up highlights the fierceness of the characters emotions. This also sets up a constructive meaning behind the clip that ties well with the title of "Rise." This film gives the audience a emotion of intensity and ends in a sorta cliff hanger with these two characters having a stare-off. I appreciate the use of the music tuning in when the soccer player has his headphones on, but also tunes out when this character is not the focus of the camera.  I would defin...
